My favorite moment in my football career was during the 2005 homecoming game against Litchfield. The previous year Litchfield beat us about 65-0...so we had a lot of motivation to beat them. We were down in the fourth quarter and Coach Hilbert called a timeout and said that I would get the ball on what else...spread I right 142. He told me to get at least a first down but preferably score. So I did just that and barely made the endzone to make the score 12-14. A two point conversion tied the game and it went to overtime. As both student sections from both schools lined up on the endzone line we took the ball in the endzone very quickly. With both sidelines screaming, we stuffed Litchfield on four straight plays and won the most exciting game I ever played in. Garrett Burris |
